My husband loves wings and they just so happen to be Whole30 complaint. Here is what we do to make our wings…
** We use our Power Air Fryer XL (5.3 QT, Black) to make these wings. I’m sure they can also be made in the oven but I personally can only eat extra crispy wings and I don’t think the oven makes them crispy enough.
- 24 chicken wings
- 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
- 1 tbs clarified butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Place wings in the air fryer. Set the temperature to 380 degrees and the time to 50 minutes. Every 10 minutes or so take out the basket and dump any accumulated water from the bottom basin and also shake/stir the wings so they cook evenly. Before taking them out for the final time make sure they are fork crisp (tap on them with a fork ;)).
While the wings are cooking add the hot sauce, butter, and seasonings into a small sauce pan and stir together. Then cook the mixture on high for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes turn the temperature to low and put a lid on the pan. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes stirring occasional. This will make the sauce nice and thick!
After the wings and sauce are done add both to a large tupperwear, put the lid on and shake. You can also add everything into a large bowl and stir until all the wigs are evenly coated.
These are HOT and so GOOD! Enjoy!!
